The Honors College Empowerment Camp for the 110th academic year was held on October 30, 2021. To fulfill the original purpose of the college education and align with exploratory education, students were taken to an outdoor experiential learning site in Xindian. By stepping out of their usual comfort zones in daily life and study, the camp aimed to encourage students to fully engage in the activities and to rebuild a strong sense of team cohesion.
The event was conducted through team-based experiential activities. Icebreaker exercises helped break down interpersonal barriers and highlighted the importance of communication and coordination. Through high-altitude challenges, participants discovered their deepest motivation and courage. The activities aimed to strengthen students’ cohesion, cultivate their determination to overcome difficulties, maintain optimism, embrace adventure, and continuously strive for improvement, while also building overall team trust.
Finally, through deepening team connections, participants were encouraged to cultivate self-awareness and reflection, gaining insight into their roles within harmonious relationships. By sharing and reflecting on their life experiences, they were able to learn valuable lessons and apply these inspirations to their daily lives.
