If you encounter any rental-related disputes during your tenancy, such as issues concerning the lease agreement, return of the security deposit, property repairs, early termination of the lease, or other rental matters, please remain calm and keep all relevant documents and records, including the lease agreement, receipts, and communication records. If you need assistance, please contact the designated advisor of your department or the Student Affairs Division at the Gongguan Campus. If your case involves legal or professional matters, the University may, as appropriate, refer you to the Tsuei Ma Ma Foundation for Housing and Community Services or the Legal Aid Foundation for further consultation and assistance to protect your rights as a tenant.

Protect Your Rights by Understanding Rental Safety Information:
1.Since August 1, 2024, the Ministry of the Interior has commissioned the Legal Aid Foundation to provide the “Telephone Legal Consultation Service for Tenants Involved in Rental Disputes,” through which consulting lawyers provide real-time legal advice on residential tenancy matters.
2. Consultation Hotline: Dial 412-8518, then press 2 and 6 (for mobile phones, add 02).
3. Service Details:
Target Audience: Tenants (Renters) involved in residential leasing.
Scope: Legal disputes arising from residential leasing relationships.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–12:30 PM, 1:30 PM–5:00 PM.
Duration: Each consultation is limited to 20 minutes. Calls exceeding the time limit will automatically end.
Free Service: Consultation is free; lawyer fees are covered by the Ministry of the Interior.
TSUEI MA MA Foundation for Housing and Community Services
The Tsuei Ma Ma Foundation for Housing and Community Services has provided free legal services related to housing and tenancy matters since 1994. In 2005, it was officially recognized as a “Consumer Protection Organization” by the Executive Yuan’s Consumer Protection Commission. The Foundation provides the public with legal services related to housing, including legal consultation on rental housing and condominium management issues, mediation and negotiation for rental and moving disputes, and pre-signing lease review services.
