When renting off campus, do you know what to look for in a rental agreement? How should a security deposit be refunded? Who is responsible for repairs? What should you do if a rental dispute occurs?
To help students understand the laws and regulations governing off-campus rentals and protect their rights, the University will hold the “Rent Smart, Stay Safe! Bilingual Off-Campus Rental Law Talk.” A representative from the Legal Affairs Division of the Tsuei Ma Ma Foundation for Housing and Community Services will provide practical guidance on rental agreements, security deposits, repair responsibilities, early lease termination, and common rental risks.
All students interested in off-campus housing are welcome to register!
