Event Description<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To help new students better understand off-campus housing laws and protect their rights as tenants, the Office of Student Affairs organized the \u201c2026 Freshman Orientation Elective Course: Bilingual Lecture on Off-Campus Housing Laws and Tenants\u2019 Rights\u201d on September 4, 2026.\n\n Ms. Yi-Yu Wu from the Legal Affairs Division of the TSUEI MA MA Foundation for Housing and Community Services was invited to deliver the lecture in both Chinese and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture covered practical topics such as precautions before renting, signing a lease, rent and security deposits, repair responsibilities, early termination of a lease, and the handling of rental disputes. It aimed to help both local and international students develop a better understanding of rental laws, identify potential risks, and protect their rights and safety while living off campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
